Yesterday I went for a walk and the daffodils were in full force. I saw a pregnant sheep sunbathing in the morning light. Her eyes half-closed, mouth half-smiling. A delight to look upon.
Our lovely album was out 15 days ago. So far it has had just over 1,000 listens on Spotify, which means a lot to me. Sometimes I login to the Spotify for Artists app to check it’s progress. When I see someone is listening in that moment I get this nice warm feeling, like I’m talking to a good friend on the phone,
Whilst hitting the 1k Spotify milestone, I’ve hit another 1k milestone elsewhere. Over on Skillshare I’ve reached over 1,000 students with my classes :-) Visit Skillshare to sign up for a free 30 day trial, snoop around and see if it’s for you. I now have 9 classes on there teaching singing and sewing.
At home, my little Bobby is approaching 3. He grows sweeter and sweeter everyday. This week he got it in his head that he wanted to get the Christmas Tree back out and decorate it. I explained that it’s not Christmas now, but we could make a Spring Tree and we made this with Daddy…
Are you starting to think “Hey Laura, You hooked me into this email talking about you being a unicorn, you tricked me”
And then I answer “No I didn’t! Look…..”
I have now completed training with Snow Princess Parties. I look forward to a spring and summer of bringing delight to children!
AND if that wasn’t enough news…..Singing Mamas got funding from Kent County Council to support families and babies with singing. I have recorded and produced a full length album of soothing lullabies and chants, which Singing Mamas will offer as a gift to families. Next week we start hospital visits. I’ll be going to the neo-natal unit in Ashford. The Singing Mamas album is finished, but we are just waiting to sign off some final things. You’ll get to hear it very soon!
